Coast Cafe in Bolinas

Nice little cafe/restaurant after a hike or a beach day. Food, good and fresh taste. Just a bit disappointing, they run out of fresh oranges and I could not oder a fresh OG :( second choice a normal coke but it tasted like an old still coke. But the food was delicious.

Old line small-town cafe, food maybe a bit better than you’d expect, but with San Francisco prices too.

Calamari was the best I've ever had!

Cozy place with great comfort food. Loved the bacon waffle. Mildly annoyed that coffee was $4 for a tiny cup of nothing special, especially since it was hard to get a refill--we practically had to grab the servers to get noticed. But I'll probably be back.

Incredible food, and lovely people. The old chap playing music made it a great evening. Recommend the bread pudding. Only problem with this place is the food is so good I ate too much.

Super peaceful simplistic friendly place, the food was maybe the best sea food I've ever had and the place setup fantastic. Great spot! I hope to be able to be back soon!

Cozy little place with vintage surf boards mounted on the ceiling. Good food, service and good local beer on tap! Nice outside area in front and on the side behind the fence.Seemed like the only place in town for lunch but, it was a pleasant good local Oysters, crab sandwich and not very busy during a weekday.

Cheese grits with greens & eggs are DELICIOUS!

Super friendly, chill spot to enjoy great beers on tap, bustling with locals and tourists alike. Can’t wait to go back!!

Great coffee , awesome pastries

I love the Coast Cafe's Coffee Kiosk (open daily 6:30-11:30). The home-made pastries are to die for and the Chai Latte is the best I've ever had (forget big town franchise...)!

So so fish and chips but fish tacos were yummy. But took over 20 mins to get our food. But I guess most people there are not usually in a rush, except we miscalculated our hike nearby and arrived way past lunch time and I was a bit hangry. Otherwise yummy food, friendly wait staff, reasonably priced.

The Coast Cafe is a historical and wonderfully run by the staff. Enjoy a morning breakfast here, with pancake and fruit, and waffles, and potatoes! And then go for a hike. It makes for a great day and you won't regret it. A great day out.

Food was good and portions generous. The draft beer was excellent. Service was good, but took a half hour. Interesting little harbor town. Enjoyed walking around after having a large meal.

Had lunch there July 11 with the family. It all tasted like Sysco delivery and frozen fries. Definitely not worth the 120 bucks I paid for 2 adults and 4 kids. I feel ripped off. Tourist trap!

There is not a lot of choice in the Bolinas area but we had a great experience at Coast Cafe. The place is cozy and offers good meal at a reasonable price. Great place for fish and seafood. The brunch option is also pretyy good. There is an outside area. The staff is pretty nice.

We have eaten at the Coast Cafe many times, over many years. (Even 40 years ago when it was The Shop)Our recent visit was disappointing. We had fish and chips, which was made with salmon. Too oily a fish to deep fry, and it had a fishy flavor. I felt ill after eating.

The staff was very friendly and the both of the dishes we ordered were excellent. Great cozy atmosphere and decor too.

Oh my goodness! This was the best fish and chips, and oysters I have every eaten. Going back tomorrow for another round.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. We enjoyed the excellent ambience and the menu. The staff members are very personal. I’m happy we ultimately managed to eat here.

They have great seating both inside and outside for large parties. Their food was great especially their oysters. They also had great vegetarian options. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

I loved this place so much, I literally named my neighbor's son Coast Cafe.

Had dinner there twice in a row and was delighted by the meals! Dinners special really are! Welcoming service and nice beers too.

Great atmosphere and food selection. We stayed at Smileys Saloon across the street and this place completed our evening with a convenient and tasty dinner. My only recommendation would be for them to narrow down the menu a little. They might benefit from more specialization.

While the location and setting were lovely, the rest of the experience was somewhat less thrilling. The service was not great. We were sitting with our menus in a neat stack for at least 10 minutes before our order was taken. Which would have been fine, had half of our food not been cold when it arrived. On top of that, there is a reason most places don't make their fish and chips with salmon. It's the wrong texture for the job. Again, not ideal. Finally, our server didn't return to check on us once from the time she brought us our food until the time she brought us our check. Based on other reviews, I'm sure it was just a rough day around there, but it was not a great experience for me and my family.

Nice place for brunch! Got seated quickly and staff seemed very nice, though distracted at times. Food was very good, worth the wait! Huge portions! Got the Denver Omlet with a side of bacon. Would come back again next time I'm in the area.

I celebrated my birthday earlier this evening in this great place. happy to tell that we passed a outstanding evening and the restaurant was certainly one of the reasons for this successful meeting. The crew contributed in a graceful manner, the cooking was yummy and my buddies were extremely happy. We shall no dout visit again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

this was a very pleasant, romantic, friendly little restaurant in the cozy town of Bolinas. Everything from the service, the setting, to the quality of our meals was excellent!!! One of the BEST places to try, at least once every couple months.

They've got good food and a nice atmosphere. There's not many food choices in Bolinas, so we're lucky to have this good cafe. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner

Had to send the fish tacos back (fish was gray & smelled bad). They forgot our order of calamari (probably a good thing). Fish n chips was so so but overpriced.

I had the chicken caesar salad and the calamari. Very good and you can't beat the location.

Pretty much the only place to eat in town. We just went for drinks and they were very accommodating with our pooch! Staff gave us a nice spot on their side patio!

Drove to this place randomly and decided to stop for breakfast. The waiter was very nice and the food was delicious. I was even able to sit outside with my dog. Amazing place in a wonderful town. Highly recommend.
